Say No to Plastic Initiative
November 2, 2021

The Vedic Civilization thus exemplifies a sustainable lifestyle promoting zero waste to the environment and planet through the forging of every item and artifact with amalgamated metals for daily usage, rooted in the ancient history of metallurgy.

Diversion from the Vedic lifestyle has resulted in the rise of plastics which has proliferated compared to ancient times. Currently, over 400 million tonnes of plastic waste are produced every year. Plastics are ubiquitous and contribute to the downfall of nature’s biodiversity and wildlife.

Therefore, KDEA practices and promotes a lifestyle of ‘no plastic’ by default, using eco-friendly products in all KAILASA’s de facto spiritual embassies across 196 countries for the past decade. KDEA further promotes and adheres to the use of plastic alternatives as stated by the Hindu Compliance Body, such as but not limited to neem toothbrush, use of banana leaf and areca nut plates, copper, steel, and earthenware containers. KDEA aims to create a no-plastic zone, by raising public awareness on the inherent duty of each individual to protect and preserve the environment for the next generation, as stated in Hindu Scriptures.
